Fever Measurement

A fever is a signal that the body is struggling with an infection: With a fever, the body fights off invading bacteria or viruses and shows that your immune system is currently dealing with a pathogen or inflammatory factor. Many defence substances are produced, such as pyrogens, which contribute to the development of fever. A clinical thermometer can be used to measure fever at various points on the body - for example under the armpits, in the mouth or on the forehead. Infrared thermometers provide a much more accurate measurement than their mercury predecessors. They take much less time to measure and can be used without contact. This is why infrared thermometers are particularly suitable for measuring body temperature in suspected coronavirus cases in companies and businesses. Forehead thermometers are also available for an even simpler version of fever measurement: The measuring strips are pressed onto the forehead and the current temperature is displayed in just a few seconds. Our online shop offers forehead and infrared thermometers from the SpotSee and DeltaTrak brands.
