Differing global standards in logistics and differing qualifications in the transportation sector are among the main reasons for the often poor quality of transport and the resulting transport damage.
Due to the large number of transport companies involved within a supply chain, it is often difficult, if not impossible, to provide evidence to determine the party responsible for the damage.
In order to achieve transparency in the supply chain in such cases, the use of data loggers with real-time tracking helps shippers. The loggers not only provide information about the current position, but also send alarm messages by e-mail if the values exceed or fall below previously defined parameters. These parameters include, for example, shock, temperature, humidity or light. The collected measured values are usually managed via transmission to a cloud and can be retrieved and viewed at any time using any internet-enabled end device.
