The stickers are applied to the outside of the packaging or product. If the wetness indicator comes into contact with moisture – for example, rain or other exposure to water – the printing ink in the umbrella symbol begins to ‘bleed’. This makes it clearly evident that the product or packaging has been exposed to moisture.
