2-Value Temperature Card®
To avoid negative COVID-19 test results, the American health authority (CDC) recommends maintaining a temperature of +2 to +8°C when transporting test swabs. The 2-value temperature card helps to ensure that temperatures are maintained and controlled when shipping COVID-19 samples - from swab to transportation to the laboratory.
The 2-value temperature card is a single-use combined time-temperature indicator that warns the user of unacceptable temperature conditions and thus non-compliance with the cold chain. The WarmMark indicator on the right-hand side of the card indicates when the prescribed temperature limit of +8°C has been exceeded and the shipment was too warm, while the ColdMark indicator on the left-hand side indicates when the temperature has fallen below the temperature limit of +2°C and the shipment was therefore too cold. The three display fields of the WarmMark indicator on the right-hand side also offer the possibility of drawing conclusions about the approximate time the temperature exceeded +8°C. The three fields show from top to bottom. From top to bottom, the 3 fields show the following timeouts: 2 hours, 12 hours, 48 hours
Note: The time specifications for the WarmMark refer to a temperature exceedance of 2°C above the limit value of 8°C.
