The robust metal housing of the testo 176 T3 data logger for temperature allows it to be used in industrial and trade applications, e.g. for monitoring processes. You can measure the temperature at up to four points simultaneously - e.g. to measure the flow and return temperatures on radiators in parallel. This is because up to four thermocouple sensors can be connected to the data logger (TE type K, type T or type J temperature sensors). You can select the thermocouple sensors from our large range of sensors and order them directly when purchasing the data logger.
The advantage of thermocouple probes is that they are very responsive and cover a large measuring range. For example, depending on the model selected, the TE type K temperature sensor can be used to record particularly low temperatures (down to -195 °C) or to carry out high-temperature measurements (up to +1000 °C). This allows you to measure in deep freezers as well as check industrial processes in the high temperature range.
The memory of the temperature data logger records up to 2 million measured values and can therefore be used for long-term measurements without having to read out the data logger too frequently. Its battery life, which lasts up to 8 years, also makes the data logger a practical instrument for continuous measurements.
Technical features and practical benefits
The testo 176 T3 data logger for temperature has a metal housing, which makes it well equipped for industrial applications. The housing makes the data logger very robust and, in accordance with protection class IP 65, it is also protected against the ingress of dust and water jets. This means that the data logger can be used for temperatures in dirty and dusty environments. If you are cleaning the measuring location, you do not have to remove the logger from the measuring location.
You can rely on a high level of data security when using the data logger. The stored measured values are not lost even when the battery is empty or when the battery is replaced - which you can do yourself.

Programming and evaluating the data logger
To program and read out your data logger for temperature and to analyze your measurement data, you need to use software. You can choose between three software versions:

ComSoft Professional software - can be ordered for a fee - offers you several options for analyzing the measured temperature values in detail

ComSoft CFR 21 Part 11 software - can be ordered for a fee - ideally suited for use in the pharmaceutical sector with the special requirements of CFR 21 Part 11
The temperature data logger is programmed and read out using a USB cable, which is not included in the scope of delivery. You can also use the cable to transfer the measurement data to your PC. Alternatively, you can also use an SD card for this purpose. You can order both when purchasing your data logger.
