Infrared thermometers, pyrometers

The topic of contactless temperature measurement is becoming increasingly important.
This applies both to the measurement of surface temperature and to the measurement of body temperature.

Body temperature measurement is currently of particular importance for detecting possible coronavirus (COVID-19) infections.
A COVID-19 thermometer or temperature gauge for hygienic, contactless fever screening reduces the risk of infection through physical contact in this context.
A COVID-safe Thermometer should therefore form part of the personal protective equipment of anyone required to carry out such checks.
In particular, routine temperature checks on employees within companies enable appropriate precautionary measures and the early detection of possible COVID-19 infections.

- Fever
- Food temperatures
- Mould growth
- Core temperature measurement with a penetration probe
- Process temperatures

 

Important information on measuring temperature using an infrared thermometer:

In cool ambient temperatures, most devices require a certain amount of time to stabilise.
In many cases, it is necessary to calibrate the infrared Thermometer using a reference Thermometer. Please refer to the relevant user manuals for details of this simple and quick procedure.
The measurement should not be taken from too great a distance from the object being measured, as this may result in an inaccurate reading.
