Product information "Humidifier B 280"
The B 280 at a glance
Healthy living and working with optimum humidity: warm air can store more moisture than colder air. This is why the amount of moisture in the room air is measured in % relative humidity - approx. 50-60% relative humidity is considered optimal. A room temperature of 20-23°C in the living room, max. 18°C in the bedroom and 18-23°C in workrooms are considered ideal. You can achieve a consistently pleasant humidity level, especially in the winter months, by humidifying the room air.
All the advantages:
- Electronic control
- Ready for operation without installation - stationary or mobile use
- Clearly arranged control panel with displays for water level, fan stages, ionization mode and actual and target humidity in 1% increments

Function
The B 280 humidifier works on the principle of cold evaporation. It is generally recognized that this operating principle is the most suitable for humidifiers. The air is sucked in through a special dust filter on the back of the device and thus pre-cleaned. It is then passed through the humidification filter, where it is enriched with the necessary moisture due to the large evaporation surface. Finally, the humidified air is returned to the room through the discharge opening at the front. In addition, further variable outlet openings can be opened on the top of the device to ensure a more targeted distribution of the humid air.
Blower
The B 280 has eight manual and one automatic blower settings. In automatic mode, the device automatically adjusts the speed - and therefore also the humidification output - to the current demand: the higher the difference between the actual and target humidity, the higher the output of the fan. If the actual value approaches the target value, the automatic system reduces the output accordingly. Alternatively, eight manual blower levels can be set, allowing the user to adjust the power and noise of the B 280 to their own requirements.
Operation
The control panel of the B 280 gives you quick access to the appliance's functions and provides information about the current situation at a glance: humidity value, blower mode, water level (full or empty) and ionization (on or off) are displayed or can be set. In addition, the very clearly designed control panel can be folded up, making it even easier to check the display.
Humidity control
The B 280 has an internal humidity sensor that constantly determines the current humidity values, which are then shown on the display as a percentage. Once the desired target humidity value has been set, the appliance automatically takes over control and ensures that the desired value is reached. If particularly accurate humidity measurements are required, the B 280 is optionally available with a wireless hygrostat that can be placed anywhere in the room.
Ionization
The ion concentration and the ratio between positively and negatively charged ions in the room air are decisive for the air quality. The ionization of the B 280 can therefore be used to improve the quality of the air and thus the sense of well-being. As dust particles in the air attach themselves to the ions, the air is also purified.
Water level indicator
The appliance monitors the fill level of the water tank. As soon as it is empty, the appliance switches off automatically and displays a message on the control panel informing you that the water needs to be refilled.
Keypad lock
The B 280 has a keypad lock, which is activated by pressing a key combination and locks the input on the control panel. This prevents intentional or accidental changes to the set parameters by unauthorized persons.
Filters
The evaporation filters of the B 280 consist of a special filter foam that has a particularly large evaporation surface due to its open-pored structure. This is the main reason for the high evaporation performance of the B 280.
Options
The B 280 can be supplied with an optional automatic water supply, which enables the appliance to be connected to a water pipe and eliminates the need to fill the appliance with water manually. For safety reasons, we also recommend the use of the corresponding safety accessories (water monitor, safety pressure hose and safety drip tray).
The B 280 is also available with a radio sensor system for particularly accurate measurements of the humidity values in the room. The wireless humidistat can be positioned anywhere in the room and transmits the measured humidity values to the device by radio. This system also allows the B 280 to be used in combination with the HP 50 radio dehumidifier.
Another option for the B 280 humidifier is disinfection using a UV-C lamp. The central position of the lamp exposes the water in the tank, the air passing through and the internal evaporation filter to UV-C rays, which has a germ-reducing effect.
NOTE: Discoloration may occur in the area of the UV lamp. However, this does not affect the function or structure of the appliance and therefore does not constitute a defect.
