To determine whether an air conditioning or ventilation system is working properly, you need to check the flow velocity or volume flow in the ventilation duct, among other things. This is because if the air flow is too low, the room loads are not dissipated correctly and optimum room air quality can no longer be guaranteed.

The testo 425 thermoanemometer enables quick spot measurements in the ventilation duct. It records the flow velocity, calculates the volume flow and also measures the temperature. With its measuring range of 0 ... +20 m/s, the anemometer is particularly suitable for low air flow.
The thermo-anemometer has a telescopic flow probe. The telescope can be extended to a length of up to 820 mm and has a probe head diameter of 7.5 mm.
Would you like to determine not only the flow velocity but also the volume flow in the air conditioning or ventilation system? This is no problem for the testo 425 thermo-anemometer. If you enter the duct area, it automatically calculates the volume flow during the flow measurement. Time and point averaging provide information about the average volume flow, flow velocity and temperature measured values.
You can read the current measured values as well as the min/max and the calculated average value on the illuminated display at any time. You can use the Hold button to freeze the current measured value, e.g. to compare it with another value. If you forget to switch off the anemometer, the auto-off function will do this for you. This saves your batteries and your thermoanemometer is ready for the next measurement.
